In Crust We Trust: 32
Kia ora, crüe.
Twenty-three months ago, I hit the brakes on In Crust We Trust, a monthly round-up I was writing for the long-running web-portal Last Rites. If you were following ICWT, I’m happy to report the column is now back in action. As before, ICWT concentrates on crust, d-beat, stenchcore, raw punk, and every other kind of Dis-charged fan fiction. Occasionally, artier punk also features. However, ICWT primarily focuses on obnoxious ear-fuckery.
The general vibe of ICWT remains welcoming and open-minded; I’m here to have fun, not argue about uptight sub-genre delinations like a wannabe tastemaker. (Wanking on about ridiculously obscure 7” releases for the sake of it – like some self-important gatekeeper – is also not my buzz.) The world’s a mess, I’m here to spread a little joy – albeit very much the deafening kind.
You can find ICWT: Vol 32 right here.
Thanks for (re-)tuning into ICWT. Or, if this is your first time visiting, welcome aboard, my friend!
Kia kaha.
